In Ikeda, ganz in der Nähe des Itami Flughafens, verbrachte ich eine erholsame Zeit im Hotel First. Der freundliche Service, auch wenn die Mitarbeiter nur Japanisch sprachen, war äußerst hilfsbereit, und mit einem Online-Übersetzer klappte die Kommunikation problemlos. Das Frühstück, wahlweise amerikanisch oder asiatisch, war köstlich und ließ keine Wünsche offen – für den Preis, inklusive Frühstück, kann man definitiv über die spezielle Ausstattung der Zimmer hinwegsehen. Generell war das Hotel ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt, um die Umgebung zu erkunden, und die Tatsache, dass es einen sehr kurzen Fußweg zum Flughafen gab, machte die Anreise besonders angenehm.
